| Description: | Objectives: To examine the development impact of international codes and standards (C&S) as they are applied to banking systems in developing countries. Specifically, the study intends to investigate the ways in which new rules that the banking system is expected to adopt may affect particular forms of credit to the poor, and look into changes in institutional finance that result from efforts to comply with C&S. Background: This project aims to examine the developmental impact of international codes and standards (C&S), as they are applied to banking systems in developing countries. The primary objective is to assess whether and in what ways the process of implementing C&S in the financial sector has affected development finance in developing countries. |
