Description: Purpose: To enable outstanding researchers who have just completed their doctorate to qualify for a leading position in science and research by carrying out a project in Germany which is first prepared during a stay abroad; generally, the project will be carried out in Germany with an independent junior research group.

To recruit outstanding young postdocs working abroad (back) to Germany by providing them with opportunities to gain the qualifications required for appointment as a university teacher
Eligibility Requirements:
Young researchers of all disciplines in Germany who have completed their academic qualification (doctorate).

Age limit:
Phase I - 30 years of age
Phase II - 32 years of age and postdoc experience abroad of at least 24 months
