| Description: | The tropics continue to present major challenges to modern science. Many urgent and fascinating questions still need to be resolved. WOTRO supports research in tropical countries on issues across all scientific disciplines. WOTRO funding is aimed at research activities carried out by researchers from the Netherlands and developing countries. With a balanced set of funding instruments WOTRO provides grants for collaborative programmes consisting of a set of Ph.D. and post-doc projects, capacity development (travel, knowledge exchange and partnerships), and, jointly with other agencies, large thematic programmes. |
