| Description: | Established in 1985 as an Institute of Genetic Engineering, ABI carries out applied research in the field of plant biotechnology in collaboration with plant breeding institutes and stations in Bulgaria and abroad. In the year 2000, ABI was elected for Centre of Excellence in Plant Biotechnology by the EU. ABI’s goal is to develop plants with improved quality and resistant to stress factors. |
