| Description: | The African Research Centre for Banana and Plantain was created on 1st February 2001 at Yaoundé. This was following an intergovernmental agreement under the auspices of the conference of Ministers of research and development from West and Central African Countries (COMERD/AOC). CARBAP replaces the Regional Research centre for Banana and Plantain (CRBP) created in 1989 by Cameroonian’s Ministry of Scientific and Technical Research (MINREST). CARBAP takes over the entire patrimony and mandates of CRBP CARBAP’s vocations are three-fold: 1. Research 2. Training and 3. Development |
