| Description: | REDIMA aims at contributing to sustainable research production, processing and utilization of bananas and plantains in Africa, by providing the stakeholders of the two with specialized information. Its creation was initiated by the stakeholders two banana research networks now operating in the African continent: the Musa Research Network for West and Central Africa (MUSACO), which is a CORAF network, and the Banana Research Network for East and Southern Africa(BARNESA), which is a network of ASARECA. It is coordinated by the International Network for the Improvement of Bananas and plantains (INIBAP) through a regional coordinator.
