| Description: | Agricultural research in Benin ensured the national Institute of agricultural research of Benin (INRAB). Create by decree n° 92-182 of July 6, 1992, the INRAB aims at: * to contribute to the development of the national policy of research in the fields concerned with its competence, * to conceive, carry out or make carry out either of its own intiative, or at the request of the government, of the organizations public or private, national or international, of the research programs being of particular or general interest in the fields concerning the agricultural sector, * to ensure the transfer of the assets of research in direction of the users, * to generally ensure all the activities of research for the development of agricultural sciences and their application, * to coordinate on the national level all the activities as regards agricultural research, * to contribute to the management training for the agricultural research and the development, * to carry out studies and expertises in its sphere of activity, * to publish and to distribute the results of its work and more generally to contribute to the development of scientific information. |
